How A Hilltop Venue in Strafford, Missouri Began:
Hi, my name is Betsy and I have two beautiful daughters, one of them having some special needs. She has health issues so that she can’t be alone for extended amounts of time and she sometimes requires some extra help with day to day activities. I knew I needed a plan for her so I bought my family farm in Strafford, Missouri. Combined with the beauty of the property and my love for weddings and events, I put my two part plan into action with hopes that one day A Hilltop Venue would not just employ my daughter but support her even after her dad and I are too old to do so.
The second part of this plan is to provide a wonderful place to experience an event that is affordable for everyone. So with the support and help of my husband, ex-husband, mother, son, brother, sister, and multiple other friends and family members, we have built a water feature complete with waterfall, planted and or moved multiple trees, bushes, and flowers.
We have also remodeled My dad’s barn / machine shop. We have many more plans and projects to continue making our little venue even better for your next event. We’ll keep you posted. 🙂
